FormulationPro Batch
At the heart of process manufacturing lies batch management. Many mid-market software systems are written with the needs of discrete manufacture in mind. At Elite we have developed FormulationPro specifically to address the requirements of companies who need to optimise and manage batch based production.
Comprehensive and Accurate Batch Costing
It is relatively easy to know the cost of certain factors in your business, for example what the last order of a raw material cost or how much labour costs. It’s often difficult bringing together these costs to determine the cost of a specific batch, particularly when the cost of raw materials has a tendency to fluctuate. FormulationPro is linked seamlessly to your stock records and brings in raw material, labour and packaging costs to calculate an accurate batch costing dependent on exactly what was used. Any cost attributable to a batch can be recorded accurately within FormulationPro, FormulationPro’s batch costing even accounts for the costs associated with multiple quality control test profiles.

User Friendly Batch Sheet Production
FormulationPro’s batch sheet wizard enables you to take any of your core formulations, adapt them to your current production run and produce user friendly batch sheets. Your batch sheets are fully customisable to your specific requirements and can include comprehensive user information such as production instructions and safety equipment requirements.
FormulationPro Batch Quality
FormulationPro is designed to manage and facilitate your quality concerns. After initial production and testing your formulation may need adapting based on one or more Quality Control test profiles. FormulationPro also accommodates multiple quality control test profiles for a single batch for example you can manufacture the same product in the same batch for two different customers and apply each customers' quality control specifications.
Formulations can be re-calculated to manufacture a batch to least available ingredient so if you become short of one ingredient manufacture does not have to stop.

Formulation Management - Development
Flexible security profiles means your research and development is protected, access to development formulations or sensitive formulations can be restricted to individuals or teams.
FormulationPro can manage multiple versions of a base formulation with traceable version control. Users can easily determine production from test versions and identify current and preferred versions of a formulation. For customers with a vast library of formulations FormulationPro offers a formulation import utility so current and historical formulations can all be managed from one place. Powerful, predictive search facilities enable you to quickly and easily find formulations by number, description or physical property.

Formulation Management - Version Control
Test formulations are easily transferred into the production environment with full traceability through the allocation of distinct stock codes or version numbers. The customisable FormulationPro user interface enables you to record additional company specific information against each formulation version.
Formulation Management – Chemical Calculations
FormulationPro manages and accounts for the factors that are specific to process manufacturing. Quantities can be managed by either volume or weight or a combination of both, calculations can also be determined by percentage weight or percentage volume. Custom chemical calculations such as VOC % or specific gravity are hard-wired into the system and user preferences can be set to make sure key calculations are prominently displayed.

Effective management of raw materials from purchasing into production and on to finished stock is vital for your cost effectiveness.
FormulationPro Stock for Purchasing
FormulationPro coupled with Access Dimensions stock modules enables you to see exactly what you have in stock at any given time. Stock allocated and issued in production is instantly reflected in the raw materials stock record so you always have visibility on the raw materials available. The stock forecasting module allows you to run a wide variety of ‘what-if’ scenarios to help you plan purchasing and production.
Stock management runs across multiple warehouse locations and can be operated across multiple sites. Purchase requests can be consolidated to ensure purchase of only the amount needed and purchase orders consolidated to take advantage of bulk buy discounts.

FormulationPro Stock for Traceability
Because our software brings our customers one fully integrated solution end product can be traced back to the batch produced and the exact raw materials used. Should a product recall be needed this can be managed quickly and efficiently and limited to only the effected products.
FormulationPro Stock for Production
FormulationPro offers process manufacturers flexibility in managing raw materials in production. Formulations can be re-calculated to produce to the least available ingredient so when a limited quantity of a raw material is available you can still choose to manufacture a batch with what is in stock.
multiple methods of valuing stock for example standard cost or latest cost can be applied as required to enable you to calculate accurate production costs.
Ingredient calculations
Mathematical formulae can be held against raw material records, this information can be carried forward with the relevant industry standard calculations applied to determine the properties of a batch for example the % VOC of all ingredients will be calculated to give the % VOC of the batch when mixed.
FormulationPro Packaging
FormulationPro allows for flexible packaging of your batch, a single batch may be packed into a variety of different container sizes and types dependent on the packaging available, or required by your customers. QC test information can be included on labelling as required and relevant safety datasheets are associated to your finished goods.
Costing analysis is carried through from batch to unit so you can instantly see the cost of production of any container size, based on product and packaging components such as lid, tin and label.

FormulationPro Report
FormulationPro offers you extensive and real-time reporting capabilities, because you are using one integrated ERP solution to run your business you can access detailed up-to-the minute reports on all aspects of your business. You can drill down to see in detail information for purchase order, sales order, production and quality control test information. In a couple of clicks your data can be exported into Excel for further manipulation using the 360 degree datacube facility.
